I’ve been taking time to create a few pages instead of concentrating on just designing digital kits. I wanted to share with you a page about a local festival we have called Alpenfest which we attend every year.

This layout works well with several photos, but still has plenty of “white space” to keep the page from looking too busy. Journaling could have easily been added using several lines of type at the end of the title.

Another special little touch that I love is all the sewing! I love to sew on my pages!! It’s my favorite thing to do even though it takes a lot of time. Here I sewed a line along the top and bottom edge and also along the top and bottom of the scallop edges. The chipboard letters in the title looked a bit boring to me so I decided to sew some color on them also. The scallops were freehanded and then cut out without the use of a stencil. It’s very rare that I will use a stencil. I have nothing against them; I simply love the rough, uneven look that is achieved by drawing and cutting freehand.

Here’s a list of the materials that I used to create this layout:
Paper – Basic Grey
Chipboard Letter – Making Memories
Date Stamp and Ink – Close to my Heart
Embroidery Floss – DMC

Beach Day Layout by Jmgesi

I love seeing what new layouts Jmgesi will create! I hopped over to her layouts at Two Peas in a Bucket a couple of weeks ago and found her newest creation… Beach Day. I was so excited to see that she had used my Beach Freebie Elements and Dandelion Fluff Paper in her layout! I wanted to share her fabulous layout on my site with everyone! Thank you so much Jmgesi for allowing me to do so!
